SUSE Studio FOSDEM talk online

Our FOSDEM talk on SUSE Studio is now available online :)

FOSDEM is crazy ... I love it

FOSDEM was once again a really weird but wonderful event. Besides the presentation Cornelius Schumacher and I did about SUSE Studio, we demoed Studio and got a lot of, mostly positive, feedback. During the two days we created close to 100 personalized appliances, which we put on USB sticks and gave out to the creaters to take home for booting them on their computers.
If you want to see SUSE Studio in action and your sign up is not yet activated, you'll have the chance to visit our booth on VMWorld Europe. There, we will actually show up with two kiosks which we could not take to FOSDEM due to transport contraints :(

Build your own appliance @FOSDEM2009

You have an application you want to show off on a Live DVD or you have a cool appliance in mind you want to realize? We will be demoing SUSE Studio on FOSDEM. Come by and build your own openSUSE based Live DVD, VMWare or disk image. We will have DVD blanks and some USB sticks at the booth so you can take your appliance home. If you need a special build service repository for you appliance, let us know so we can download the repo before leaving for FOSDEM. See you in Brussels. oh ... and happy first day of the International Dadaism Month

gnome gmail notifier

I am currently playing around with gnome a little bit and wondered why Gmail notifier applet does not exist for openSUSE, so I packaged it. I like it: It's simple but does everything I was looking for.
And that is how it looks like:
